Job Title: Night Shift Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Shift Manager to join our team at Hawk 3 Talent Solutions. As a Night Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of every shift, ensuring targets are met, and your shift is running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for overseeing the production of every shift, ensuring targets are met and your shift is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensuring adherence to production plans, helping with planning of weekly production schedules, and liaising with day shift production manager and Operations Director where changes are required.
  • Working with the engineer department to ensure all equipment and plant are running safely and effectively.
  • Optimizing resources, controlling staffing levels to agreed levels with your Operations Director, to ensure all production is completed on a daily basis.
  • Proactively managing your staff, ensuring you have the trained operatives to perform all relevant tasks, and having a plan in place to ensure continuous cover for all roles and working towards a multi-skilled team.
  • Managing your supervisor and team leaders to ensure they are delivering on all aspects of their roles efficiently.
  • Measuring your shift's performance against set and agreed KPIs.
  • Ensuring compliance and accuracy of all paperwork from your team to give correct information to all departments.
  • Making sure all products are produced in line with agreed customer specifications.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety guidelines are followed.
  • Continuous improvement - looking at ways to improve our process that would contribute to improved efficiencies.
  • Identifying bottlenecks or weak areas within our process, driving and implementing improvement plans to address these issues, generating a justification plan that incorporates the costs, payback, and benefits to the business.
  • Identifying any training requirements for your team, organizing and planning required training where appropriate.
  • Annual staff appraisal - daily meetings.
  • Helping the training officer to improve our SOP for all production operations, working with the training officer to free staff up so training can be carried out.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in FMCG/food environment +5 years.
  • Good knowledge of BRCGS food standards/HACCP L3/FSL3.
  • Strong Excel knowledge and skills.
  • Attention to detail - quality controlling.
