Compliance and Health and Safety Manager

Morrison Energy Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Manager to join our Net Zero (EV) team in Liverpool. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of EV Charging Infrastructure contracts across the UK, while maintaining a proactive approach to managing SHEQ performance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and joint venture counterparts.
- Provide SHEQ support for bids and contracts, ensuring robust pricing, risk management, and governance.
- Monitor and manage the performance of MES direct staff, agency staff, and subcontractors in relation to health and safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Support the procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and joint venture partners, ensuring compliance with SHEQ requirements.
- Develop and implement changes to processes to improve performance and efficiency.
- Support the development and implementation of relevant procedures to deliver contract and business requirements.
- Assist in the development, review, and implementation of safe systems of work, including SHEQ plans, construction phase plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Monitor site compliance with statutory SHEQ responsibilities and the business management system.
- Monitor SHEQ performance, record findings, and advise management on timely follow-up actions.
- NEBOSH construction certificate or NEBOSH general certificate with construction experience.
- Full UK driving license.
- Appreciation of health and safety legislation.
- Relevant SHEQ experience in utilities, electrical, or construction industries.
- IT literacy with experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, and the internet.
- Diploma NVQ Level 3 or above.
- Electrical safety background.
- Understanding of relevant statutory, regulatory, and company policies and guidelines.
- Ability to react to changing workloads.
