JSS Search is collaborating with a prominent charity organization and is in search of a dedicated and skilled Strategic Finance Partner to enhance their financial strategy and operational efficiency.
Job Overview:
The Strategic Finance Partner will be instrumental in delivering financial insights and guidance to ensure optimal management of the charity's financial resources. The successful candidate will possess robust financial expertise, experience in collaborating with academic institutions, and the capability to work synergistically with diverse departments to enhance financial performance and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the chief financial consultant and collaborator for assigned departments within the charity.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Assist in the formulation and execution of financial strategies aligned with the charity's goals.
- Provide in-depth financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal financial protocols.
- Support the drafting of grant applications, funding requests, and reports for donors.
- Oversee and evaluate financial performance, identifying opportunities for enhancement and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate closely with the finance team to guarantee precise and timely financial reporting.
- Establish and nurture effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate the annual audit process and coordinate with auditors as needed.
Qualifications:
- Professional accounting qualification or Finalist level (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of charity finance regulations and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
- High level of integrity and a strong commitment to the charity's mission and values.
