We are currently seeking a motivated and proactive Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with medication optimization policies and procedures.
- Oversee pharmaceutical stock procurement and related duties.
- Deliver high-quality clinical care and guidance to patients and healthcare teams across various departments.
As a Pharmacy Manager, your role will include:
- Providing strategic leadership on medication management to ensure safety, cost-effectiveness, and legal compliance across all clinical departments.
- Leading, motivating, and managing the pharmacy team to achieve excellence in service delivery.
- Acting as the Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead to minimize hospital-acquired infections through adherence to current policies and guidelines.
- Conducting daily ward rounds to reconcile medications for new inpatients and ensuring appropriate counseling for patients.
- Facilitating timely and informed patient discharges by overseeing the dispensing and clinical checking of medications.
- Implementing medication safety alerts and managing drug recalls in collaboration with clinical leadership.
- Monitoring compliance with Department of Health guidance on controlled substances and conducting quarterly audits.
- Managing incidents, complaints, and errors in accordance with organizational guidelines.
- Supporting the professional development of healthcare colleagues through training and education on medication management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Experience in a clinical pharmacy setting is essential.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience within a pharmacy environment.
- Knowledge of oncology pharmacy practices.
- Ability to share evidence-based practices to enhance service delivery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
