Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Breast Care Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients with breast problems, including those undergoing treatment for primary breast cancer.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a specialist field and contribute to the development of our breast care service. You will be responsible for providing expert nursing advice, clinical expertise, and education to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. You will also participate in aspects of clinical governance and implement quality initiatives to ensure high standards of care and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist breast care knowledge, advice, and clinical expertise to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Have continuing responsibility for providing co-ordinated, holistic care for patients with breast disease from diagnosis, throughout treatment, and specified follow-up pathway.
  • Participate in aspects of clinical governance and implement quality initiatives to ensure high standards of care and service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of the breast care service within the Trust, demonstrating and raising awareness of the contribution of expert nursing to patient care.

Person Specification

We are looking for a registered nurse with a relevant specialist qualification and experience in breast care. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also have a commitment to delivering high-quality care and a passion for patient-centered care.
