Electrical Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

Competitive Salary: £37,500 inclusive of shift allowance, with OT up to £50,000.

The Recruitment Group is working with a leading UK manufacturing company that produces pre-cast products for the construction sector, with 17 manufacturing facilities nationwide.

Purpose of the Electrical Engineer Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join the Maintenance team to assist with day-to-day mechanical and electrical engineering within the plant.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Attend regular machine breakdowns and diagnose electrical or mechanical failures.
  2. Lead on all Planned Maintenance.
  3. Provide Engineering cover to suit business demands.
  4. Build and maintain effective relationships with necessary departments for a positive working relationship and quick reactive solutions.
  5. Work closely with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime.
  6. Support improvement tasks to increase plant performance.
  7. Actively involved in maintaining and improving department and site housekeeping standards.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a similar field, ideally from a manufacturing environment.
  2. Recognized electrical qualification - Apprentice trained, Level 3 BTEC or above.
  3. Inspection & testing would be ideal.
