Strategic Procurement Manager

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
About the RoleThe Strategic Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the strategy and direction of the procurement team, leading a team of category managers, and enhancing current operations to provide high-quality procurement services both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive continuous improvement across the business.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including procurement, finance, marketing, sales, and supply chain, to develop a strong procurement function.
- Respond to market changes and new regulations, ensuring adherence to procurement processes.
- Lead a team of category managers to achieve procurement goals and objectives.
- Previous experience as a Procurement Manager or Category Manager or similar position.
- Previous leadership experience/team management experience - essential.
- Proficient in handling data and data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Influencing and negotiation skills.
- Proven experience operating at a strategic level.
- £62,000-£65,000 annual salary.
- Hybrid working policy with 2 days from home.
- Flexible working.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays plus option to buy/sell hols.
- Company pension scheme.
