About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Bookkeeper to join our finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the Purchase Ledger, overseeing invoices and accounts, and performing regular Balance Sheet reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Purchase Ledger, including invoice coding, inputting, and bank reconciliation
  • Oversee the invoices and accounts mailbox, ensuring timely responses to suppliers enquiries
  • Reconcile Charter Hire for each period and allocate vessel revenue
  • Perform regular Balance Sheet reconciliations, including inter-company reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly management reports, including victualling rate analysis and crew change costs
  • Assist with Year-End financial audits
  • Ensure new suppliers are set up in compliance with company policies
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is essential (2.1) minimum
  • Strong personal drive and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping principles
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well as part of a team
