ENT Outpatient Registered Nurse, Band 5
Job Overview
We are pleased to announce a full-time opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to become a vital part of our dedicated and vibrant team within the ENT outpatient department. Our focus is on delivering exceptional care to patients, including those diagnosed with head and neck cancers. As a member of the ENT outpatient team, you will gain the chance to acquire new and essential nursing competencies, which can be applied across various clinics such as minor operations, nurse-led aural care, skin allergy assessments, and olfactory testing.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and compassionate individual to join our team. You should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. While prior experience in ENT or head and neck nursing is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite, as comprehensive training and support will be offered to the successful candidate.
This role requires flexibility, as staff will work across multiple sites. Transportation between the two locations is provided at no cost for trust staff via shuttle bus.
Key Responsibilities
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse/Nursing Associate to join the ENT nursing team within the outpatient department, serving both sites.
You will collaborate closely with all members of our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality nursing care to patients attending various clinic appointments, including head and neck cancer consultations, tracheostomy management, nurse-led aural care, minor procedures, allergy testing, and more.
Effective communication skills are essential in nursing. Our specialty often involves patients with communication challenges, making it crucial for nurses to exhibit both verbal and non-verbal communication proficiency.
While previous experience in ENT or head and neck nursing is not mandatory, we seek individuals eager to learn new skills and grow both personally and as part of a team.
