About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Trauma Care Professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our trauma and orthopaedic clinics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, particularly in situations where patient ability to communicate is compromised.
  • Deliver safe care within a challenging and changing clinical environment, using equipment and resources safely and as appropriate.
  • Administer medication and treatment in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Participate in mentorship and educational programs for students and other members of the team.
  • Supervise and mentor unqualified/qualified staff and students.
  • Input and retrieve patient information from computer-based systems and maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records.

Person Specification

  • Education at degree level.
  • NMC registered.
  • Post-registration development (Teaching and Assessing qualification).
  • Plaster Course.
  • Ponsetti.
  • Act as a role model and exemplary leader.
