Clinical Assessor

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Assessor to join our team at SJB Medical. As a Clinical Assessor, you will play a vital role in assessing individuals and how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life.
Using your clinical expertise, you will listen carefully to each person's medical history, perform a physical examination, and produce concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to determine their eligibility for benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of individuals, taking into account their medical history and physical examination findings.
- Produce high-quality reports that accurately reflect the individual's functional capacity and eligibility for benefits.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices in functional assessment.
- HCPC Registered Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, or Paramedic with a minimum 12 months of recent broad-based post-registration experience.
- Experience in functional assessment and clinical decision-making is highly desirable.
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD) present on CV.
- Membership of a relevant professional body.
- Sound understanding of clinical governance and importance of delivering to agreed customer service levels and targets.
