Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team at SRG. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our EHS programs, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of EHS excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation of the business
  • Monitor performance of EHS programs and sustainability initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Act as local expert in safety, health, and environmental regulatory issues, and manage compliance activities
  • Develop permitting and compliance strategies, and negotiate with regulatory agencies
  • Provide information and guidance to facility management on safety and environmental controls
  • Maintain all records and reports as defined by regulatory agencies and corporate guidelines
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure all EHS requirements are considered when introducing new policies, processes, or equipment
Requirements
  • Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety and/or Bachelor's degree in environmental, safety, or related scientific discipline
  • Extensive knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, and experience of providing expert advice to managers on health and safety
  • Prior experience working in a GxP/regulated environment would be beneficial
  • Experience of introducing EHS and sustainability projects would be advantageous
