About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team at Barclays, where you will play a key role in shaping the future of our digital landscape.

As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions to complex business problems, collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technologies and platforms that meet business requirements, while balancing technology risks against business delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop solutions as products that can evolve, meeting business requirements that align with modern software engineering practices and automated delivery tooling.
  • Identify and implement technologies and platforms that meet business needs, while balancing risks and controls to deliver business and technology value.
  • Provide fault finding and performance issues support to operational support teams, leveraging available tooling.
  • Conduct solution design impact assessments in terms of risk, capacity, and cost impact, including estimation of project change and ongoing run costs.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources, to inform solution design and implementation.
