Amentum is a premier global technical and engineering services partner.

We are now recruiting for a Lead Engineer (Digital Integration) to join us permanently on our major projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate technical risk management activities, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and risk register production and maintenance.
  • Coordinate the management of requirements, including understanding of systems engineering principles, requirements identification, configuration control, validation, and verification.
  • Manage and coordinate the development of engineering delivery baselines, including scope definition, input to project management deliverables, and project execution plan/engineering execution plan.
  • Coordinate oversight of project delivery and project reporting, including rules of credit, progress monitoring, and recovery planning.
  • Engage with and oversee delivery partners and supply chain organisations, including specification of engineering and technical requirements, technical assessment of tenders, and management of TQs and concessions.
  • Understand and work within/nuclear industry standard gated delivery processes.
Nuclear Specific Engineering Responsibilities:
  • Experience and knowledge of the UK nuclear site licence conditions and specifically those related to engineering.
  • Knowledge of configuration controlled nuclear baseline throughout the project facility lifecycle.
  • Experience of nuclear site licence company procedures.
  • Knowledge of generic nuclear new-build safety case, including stages and key deliverables, design change control, and engineering deliverables.
  • Solid and proven knowledge of UK nuclear facility operational safety case, including design change control/configuration management, facility modification, and periodic review of safety.
  • Knowledge of design substantiation process and interactions with the nuclear safety case.
  • Experience of quality control and the relationship between nuclear safety and the project lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of the UK nuclear and environmental regulators and their interactions with UK nuclear site licence companies.
Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Ideal Bachelors degree in engineering or science subject or demonstrated equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
  • Possess or working towards Professional membership of a relevant chartered body.
  • Proven experience working in a complex/major project engineering delivery environment, including management of engineering supply chain organisations.
