About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee a large-scale grounds maintenance contract across the West of England. This role involves managing additional contracts including cleaning, window cleaning, and waste removal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Arrange and attend review meetings with contractors to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Conduct regular meetings with contractors' staff to discuss performance and progress, and provide guidance on areas for improvement.
  • Scrutinise and prepare Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and other contract data for accurate reporting, and identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain detailed records and perform regular on-site monitoring of contractor performance to ensure delivery and standard of work meet specified requirements.
  • Work within the Estate Services team, engaging with colleagues and customers daily, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of amenity horticulture and its application in contract management.
  • Proven experience in client-side grounds maintenance contract management, with a strong understanding of contract law and regulations.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety legislation and managing contractor compliance, including risk assessment and mitigation.
  • High level of attention to detail, particularly when handling data, and proficiency in IT systems, including Excel & Word.
  • Ability to interpret maps and specifications, and experience with Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping tools is desirable.
  • Commitment to delivering customer-led services and continuous improvement, with excellent communication skills and a confident communicator.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, and committed to providing high-quality customer service.
