Position Overview:

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Business Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The Business Development Representative will play a critical role in our sales efforts by identifying and generating new business opportunities for our B2B accounting SaaS product. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively engage potential clients, understand their business needs, and communicate how our solutions can help them achieve their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify, research, and qualify potential clients through various methods, including cold calling, email outreach, industry events, and referrals.
  • Outbound Outreach: Conduct outreach to prospective clients to introduce our B2B accounting SaaS product, qualify leads, and schedule appointments for the sales team.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of leads and opportunities in the CRM system. Track and manage the sales pipeline to ensure a steady flow of qualified prospects.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture relationships with potential clients, understanding their accounting and financial management needs.
  • Product Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of our B2B accounting SaaS product and effectively communicate its features and benefits to potential clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective lead generation and conversion strategies.
  • Feedback: Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams on lead quality and campaign effectiveness to continuously improve lead generation strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a sales development or similar role, preferably within the fintech, SaaS, or financial services industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively engage with C-level executives, finance professionals, and business owners.
  • Sales Skills: Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales tools. Comfortable with using social media for lead generation.
  • Motivation: Highly motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly adapt to new challenges and opportunities.
  • Financial Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial management is a plus.
