Position Overview

This diverse and engaging position offers administrative assistance to the North Somerset Recovery Service. You will be expected to exercise sound judgment and initiative, working both independently and collaboratively within the broader administrative team. Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential, as service user care is central to our mission, requiring empathy and compassion.

Previous experience in clerical and administrative roles is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include providing comprehensive administrative support to multidisciplinary teams and departments, including designated medical personnel and junior medical staff. Flexibility and responsiveness to current requests and demands are crucial.

It is important to have an understanding of or experience with individuals who have faced mental health challenges, as some tasks may involve sensitive information. However, full support is provided through peer assistance, regular formal supervision, and access to employee support programs.

Job Duties

Utilize both written and verbal communication skills to engage with a diverse range of individuals.

Facilitate the exchange of information with patients, staff, and caregivers regarding appointments, admissions, and meetings.

Manage incoming mail (both paper and electronic) and ensure appropriate action is taken on high-priority items.

Handle both telephone and in-person interactions with distressed service users in a supportive and empathetic manner.

Coordinate meetings and appointments for team members.

Prepare patient reports, correspondence, and emails as needed, and address inquiries from patients through various communication channels. Accurately input patient data into the relevant systems.

Organize clinicians' schedules and draft clinic letters.

Process medication requests from clinicians and medical staff.

Generate reports and analyze data as required.

Perform general administrative tasks, including minute-taking.
