Job Description

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountancy Practice Recruitment Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts, assisting with management accounts production, handling personal tax, corporate tax, and VAT returns, and performing general bookkeeping duties using Xero or QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare statutory accounts, manage accounts production, and perform general bookkeeping duties.
  • Taxation: Handle personal tax, corporate tax, and VAT returns.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Coach and mentor junior staff members and trainees.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: You will be studying your ACCA / ACA or be qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Experience: You will have substantial experience within a UK accountancy practice, preparing accounts, tax, and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support junior staff.
