Job Overview

We are seeking 8 Catering Support Specialists to be distributed across 2 wards.

Available positions include: 2 roles at 20 hours per week and 6 roles at 16 hours per week, with a weekly rota that may include weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility is to deliver a high-quality catering service to patients within the ward at Blossomwood.

Duties include serving meals, beverages, and snacks while upholding stringent cleanliness standards in the kitchen areas.

You will ensure exceptional customer service and maintain catering standards, completing all necessary documentation in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.

Job Duties

- Ensure adherence to the Catering Food Safety Manual, Trust policies, and the Food Safety Act and Hygiene Regulations.

- Assist patients in accessing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as beverages and snacks.

- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and serving areas.

- Conduct audits and record data as per Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) requirements, including fridge temperature checks, food labeling, and stock management.

- Work with older adults in mental health services who may be experiencing conditions such as depression, psychosis, and dementia.

Important Note

This position does not meet the skill level required for a Skilled Worker visa. Applicants requiring a Skilled Worker visa typically need to be in a role at Band 3 or above; however, not all Band 3 roles are eligible for sponsorship.
