Job Title: Trade Marketing Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Marketing Manager to join our team at Currys. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for maximizing the growth opportunity to bring new product development to market and ensuring that Currys is at the forefront of innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the senior buyer to build a strong relationship with our biggest supplier and collaborate with all functions across the business to develop and execute the customer and commercial strategy for future growth.
- Combine customer and competitor insight with financial imperatives to ensure the category squad develops a strategy to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue.
- Act as a liaison between functional representatives in the squad and beyond, pulling together annual, quarterly, and in-season initiatives and activities to maximize performance.
- Support the category buyer in negotiating adequate supplier funding to enable market-leading in-store executions and above-the-line campaigns.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including commercial buying, central planning, brand and marketing, online, services, and retail operations.
- Provide commercial acumen and analysis of trading performance, making recommendations to drive business growth.
- Support major marketing briefs across the category and coordinate responses in appropriate templates.
- Champion great customer experiences in all channels, challenging the category team and supporting functions to improve the experience for customers.
- Work with the senior e-commerce manager to understand the category KPI dashboard and reporting metrics, ensuring timely and accurate communication of performance vs targets.
Requirements:
- Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills to review data and provide recommendations/action plans to drive sales, profit, and cash.
- Good planning, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
