About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurology Nurse Specialist to join our team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Epilepsy Nurse Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to adults with learning disabilities and epilepsy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide active support to adults with learning disabilities and epilepsy to meet their specific health needs and access secondary and tertiary services.
  • Be professionally and managerially responsible for the delivery and ongoing development of the Epilepsy Nurse Service.
  • Provide high-quality professional and clinical care, support, and education to adults with learning disabilities and epilepsy, their families, and paid carers.
  • Contribute to the provision of training, guidance, and support in relation to health improvement, health promotion, and epilepsy management.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities
  • Diploma or higher in epilepsy care
  • Mentorship training/ENB teaching and assessing/NVQ assessor or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years post-registration experience
Desirable
  • Independent non-medical prescriber/willing to work towards
  • Has achieved 'expert nurse' level of the Learning Disability Epilepsy Nurse Specialist Framework
