IPS Group is seeking a skilled Catastrophe Modeller to join their highly-regarded Catastrophe Analytics team in London. The successful candidate will work with a leading, independently owned Reinsurance Broker to develop and implement catastrophe models, providing valuable insights to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain catastrophe models using approved tools and techniques
  • Analyse and validate results to provide accurate catastrophe loss and exposure estimates to clients
  • Conduct strategic catastrophe analysis to identify profitable and unprofitable areas for growth, supporting business decisions
  • Collaborate with the wider analytics and commercial teams on various projects, including model evaluation, event response, mapping, and R&D initiatives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in catastrophe modelling, preferably in the Property class
  • Experience with at least one recognised vendor model (Verisk/RMS)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
