Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Traffic Operations Coordinator to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for effectively managing the day-to-day organization of our depot operations, ensuring the efficient allocation and routing of vehicles to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage route efficiency and optimize disposal outlets to ensure effective use of vehicles and facilities.
  • Manage driver availability and coverage to ensure suitable coverage at all times.
  • Perform administrative duties, including input of pay and bonus information, and accurate input of disposal data.
  • Proactively manage vehicle availability, ensuring drivers have completed checks in accordance with company policy.
  • Contribute to ongoing cost control and seek opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks associated with the dispatch office are completed, including time sheets, tachograph records, payroll records, and holiday rotas.
  • Work with the Depot Manager to deliver mandatory training, induction, and toolbox talks in line with company policy.
