United Response is seeking a skilled Commercial Bid Writer to join our team. As a key member of our bid writing team, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality bids that showcase our organization's expertise and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and write winning bids for multi-million pound contracts, tenders, and frameworks in collaboration with operational colleagues and relationship managers.
  • Work closely with the Principle Commercial Bid Writer, Relationship Managers, and operational subject matter experts to ensure bids meet internal and procurement timeframes.
  • Edit and copywrite content to provide consistent and engaging written submissions.
  • Articulate and illustrate information provided, working up concepts into creative and innovative ideas that align with United Response's strategy and brand.
  • Contribute to the development of a library of sector-leading stock responses, ensuring tools, examples, and information are up-to-date and representative of our work.
  • Perform risk assessments for contracts to inform decision-making for bid/no-bid scenarios.
  • Collaborate with Operational, Quality, and Practice teams to share best practices and ensure knowledge and management information are used in tenders and available to the organization.
  • Research and collect data for bids, contributing to bespoke model design and innovation development.
  • Ensure all processes, procedures, and systems supporting income generation are followed in accordance with best practice and Information Governance Policies.
Requirements:
  • Experience in writing multi-million pound sector-leading bids and frameworks in the social care arena.
  • Credibility in building relationships with operational colleagues and other key stakeholders.
  • Understanding of delivering social purpose in a business-like manner, with good business and financial planning skills and a proven track record in delivering against financial targets and managing business risk.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to apply project management techniques appropriately to the scale of the task.
  • Capacity to harness creative thinking and innovative approaches, both personally and in enabling others to apply these to deliver practical outcomes.
