Bid Writer Specialist

United Response is seeking a highly skilled Bid Writer Specialist to join our Business Development team. As a key member of our bid writing team, you will be responsible for writing high-quality bids that showcase our organization's expertise and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and write winning bids for multi-million pound contracts, tenders, and frameworks in collaboration with our operational colleagues and relationship managers.
- Work closely with our Principal Commercial Bid Writer, relationship managers, and subject matter experts to ensure that all tenders meet the necessary criteria and are submitted within internal and procurement timeframes.
- Edit and copywrite content to provide consistent and engaging written submissions that reflect our organization's brand and strategy.
- Articulate and illustrate information provided to you, and work up concepts into creative and innovative ideas that align with our organization's goals and objectives.
- Contribute to the development of a library of sector-leading stock responses, ensuring that tools, examples, and information are up-to-date and accurately represent our work.
- Perform a full risk assessment for each contract to inform decision-making for a bid/no bid scenario.
- Collaborate with colleagues in operational, quality, and practice teams to ensure the sharing of best practices and knowledge management information is used in tenders and available to the organization.
- Conduct research and data collection for bids, contributing to bespoke model design and innovation development.
- Ensure that all processes, procedures, and systems to support income generation are followed in accordance with best practice and information governance policies.
- Act as a champion of United Response and local partnerships, modeling appropriate behaviors internally and externally.
- Experience of writing multi-million pound sector-leading bids and frameworks in the social care arena.
- Credibility in building relationships with operational colleagues and other key stakeholders.
- Understanding of how to deliver social purpose in a business-like manner, good business and financial planning skills, and a proven track record in delivering against financial targets and managing business risk.
We are looking for a skilled Bid Writer Specialist who can demonstrate exceptional writing and communication skills, apply project management techniques appropriately, and harness creative thinking and innovative approaches to deliver practical outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a successful multi-million pound bid writing team and hold a Certificate in Bid Management or similar.
