Role Overview:
As our service evolves, we present a unique opportunity for Nurses to conduct high-quality telephone assessments while also providing Clinical Supervision to a multi-disciplinary team. Function as an independent practitioner, delivering comprehensive telephone triage and clinical assessment services to patients and their families, ensuring safe and appropriate clinical decisions. Offer real-time clinical support to NHS 24 frontline staff, resulting in safe, appropriate, and patient-centered outcomes. Ensure the provision of accurate healthcare information, self-care advice, or referrals to the appropriate care level, addressing the holistic needs of patients and their families. Utilize various models to deliver clinical supervision to non-clinical staff.Candidate Profile:
Must be registered as an Adult nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register. Strong clinical decision-making skills with the ability to provide ongoing clinical supervision and leadership. Extensive post-registration experience, ideally in acute or primary care settings, with a broad knowledge base across multiple specialties. Exceptional critical decision-making abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Hybrid Working Considerations:
Must exhibit self-discipline and excellent time management skills. When working from home, ensure a private, distraction-free environment that maintains patient confidentiality. NHS 24 will supply necessary equipment for home working; however, employees must secure all materials to prevent unauthorized access. A mobile device and internet connection with a minimum broadband speed of 4 Mbps are required. Following training and initial office-based work, Clinical Supervisors will gradually transition to a hybrid model, splitting contracted hours between home and office work.Competitive Salary Package:
NHS 24 offers a comprehensive reward package, including a permanent contract on Band 6, with a salary range of £37,831 - £46,100 (pro rata for part-time roles). Salary placement is based on previous relevant NHS service.
Additional salary enhancements for unsocial hours are available, with the following applicable hourly rates:
Basic Hourly Rate: £19.34 Saturday / After 8pm Weekday Hourly Rate: £25.15 Sunday / Public Holiday Hourly Rate: £30.95Shift Patterns:
Shifts are organized on an average 8-week rota pattern.
24 hours – 5 out of 8 weekends 30 hours – 5 out of 8 weekendsExample rotas are available in the job pack.
