Role Overview:

Equals One Ltd is in search of an electrically inclined multi-skilled Engineer to manage the Electrical and Mechanical upkeep of their facility in Bradford. This position entails ensuring adherence to Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) protocols, providing reactive support for breakdowns, executing repairs on site facilities, contributing to ongoing improvement projects, and participating in various project initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all operations safely and professionally, in compliance with company and legislative Health and Safety standards.
  • Aim to achieve departmental objectives related to Health and Safety and focus on continuous improvement in reducing incidents.
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, reactive repairs, and mandatory checks on electrical and mechanical systems, collaborating with the Maintenance Team to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Engage in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with a cross-functional team to identify and implement lasting solutions to issues.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance safety protocols, quality standards, and machine availability.
  • Perform necessary repairs on site facilities to uphold operational standards.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to record completed tasks and reduce fault occurrences.

Planning & Organization:

  • Plan maintenance activities and prioritize tasks in collaboration with the Shift Controller.

Internal & External Interactions:

  • Maintain daily communication with Shift Managers, Maintenance Engineers, and external contractors.

Required Knowledge:

  • Expertise in troubleshooting various control systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), AC/DC motors, Drives/frequency inverters, and relay logic.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs is advantageous.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Analytical, logical, and systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a production maintenance setting with a multi-skilled focus.
