About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology. As a key member of our Programme Management Office, you will play a critical role in delivering our digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of technology projects, ensuring timely, within-budget, and to-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical and data teams, to drive project success.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including system integrators and government departments.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide key reports and support effective governance and decision-making.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in IT/digital project management, with a focus on delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple work activities and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience working in a shared service environment, with a focus on corporate services, particularly HR, Finance, Procurement, or Digital.
Desirable Qualifications
  • APM Project Fundamentals or Prince2/MSP qualification.
