Job Overview

McCoy's Building Supply is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Yard Crewmember/Forklift Operator to join our team. As a key member of our yard crew, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a forklift, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers as they enter the yard, respond to their questions, and provide assistance with product selection.
  • Forklift Operations: Safely load and unload products into customers', vendors', and company vehicles.
  • Inventory Management: Stock products, move materials, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Safety and Security: Perform routine safety checks on forklifts, maintain a safe working environment, and report any incidents or concerns to management.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Certifications: Forklift operator certification required.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, and basic math skills.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of standing, moving, and lifting up to 80 pounds.
  • Environmental Factors: Work in various types of weather, may require overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
