Are you a true expert in packaging machinery with a strong background in project management? Do you have the ability to navigate customer requirements for high-speed packaging machinery for sorting, filling, capping, boxing, or palletising?

Mercury Search and Selection Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager/Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering multiple projects and installations, progressing your career, and building your connections and resume through travel across Europe.

As a Project Manager/Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Project managing customer orders, managing timescales, and organizing logistics
  • Preparing and reviewing detailed tender documentation and layout proposals in conjunction with the team
  • Providing outstanding customer service, liaising with clients across the food, health, and beauty, chemical, and pet food industries
  • Managing the revenues and costs of multiple projects and ensuring contract profitability is maintained
  • Travelling to customer sites in the UK to clarify technical requirements and commercial aspects of enquiries/orders and across Europe for supplier meetings

Attributes required:

  • 3 years minimum project management experience and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Flexible in approach to travel with the role
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills
  • A high level of technical knowledge for packaging machinery, understanding installation requirements, with the ability to take measurements
  • Desirable packaging machinery engineering experience/CAD experience, although not essential
