Catalyst is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our dynamic and high-performing Management Accounts Team. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in providing financial support, building partnerships, and maintaining strong relationships with business unit management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide financial support and build partnerships with business unit management to drive commercial insight and ensure key operational, commercial, and financial targets are delivered.
- Identify and measure key success drivers for business functions such as Human Resources and Commercial.
- Support functions in preparation of planning data by providing financial analysis and modeling, including responsible for planning data input into TM1.
- Manage daily, weekly, and month-end processes with specific responsibility to improve timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency of output.
- Lead the production of departmental reporting, including commentary and variance analysis.
- Prepare Board Slides and commentary.
- Critically review and enhance processes, recommending improvements to ensure the highest quality of actual and planning data.
- Complete Balance Sheet Reconciliations, own, monitor, and address reconciling items, identify risks, and opportunities.
- Provide ad-hoc Management Information as and when required.
- Provide technical advice during projects initiation and scoping. Testing and sign-off for relevant projects.
- Drive improvements in the overall finance product and culture of the finance team.
- Lead responses to Audit requests during the year-end process.
- Strong experience in a similar role, such as Finance Manager, Finance Business Partner, or Management Accountant, preferably gained in a larger, fast-moving, service-driven business and/or supporting/partnering operational teams.
- Line management experience is desirable (two direct reports).
- Qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent).
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Advanced in the use of Excel and Office with ERP such as SunSystems.
- Highly numerate and analytical with excellent attention to detail.
- Salary to £55,000 + pension + excellent benefits including attractive 50% staff discounts and 25% for friends and family.
