Compensation: OTE up to £51,600 (base salary ranging from £30,000 to £45,000; plus OTE potential of £6,600) + £2,000 signing bonus

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 5:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break, Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. 1 in 4 Saturdays from 8:00am to 1:00pm

As a warm welcome to the Jaguar Land Rover team at Lookers, all successful automotive service technicians will receive a £2,000 signing bonus.

Lookers Bishop Stortford Land Rover is on the lookout for a skilled Automotive Service Technician to enhance our outstanding workshop team. Collaborating with other seasoned technicians, you will be essential in performing vehicle health assessments utilizing cutting-edge technology, executing vehicle services, and conducting any necessary repairs.

At Lookers Bishop Stortford Land Rover, you will report to a highly experienced aftersales manager who will provide continuous support to ensure you have the resources required to excel in your position. Our technicians are integral to our Service team, delivering exceptional customer service consistently. We invite qualified Automotive Service Technicians or experienced Mechanics, whether from a dealership or independent garage background, to connect with us.

  • Conducting vehicle health assessments using state-of-the-art technology
  • Performing vehicle services in line with manufacturer guidelines and customer specifications
  • Executing additional repairs upon customer authorization
  • Completing warranty repairs according to manufacturer standards and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Taking customer vehicles for road tests to confirm all issues are resolved
  • Completing all necessary paperwork to a high standard

The ideal candidate will possess at least an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, along with relevant automotive industry experience (brand or non-brand), and a valid UK driving license. You should be self-driven, capable of supporting your team, ambitious, eager to learn, and able to uphold the highest standards for all vehicles serviced.
While prior brand experience is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite, as brand training will be provided. Experience in diagnostics, MOT, and EV servicing is also desirable but not mandatory.

**The signing bonus is distributed as £1,000 in the first month of employment and £1,000 after six months of continuous service.
