Working Hours: Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 5:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break, Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays from 8:00am to 1:00pm

As a warm welcome to the Lookers team, all successful automotive service technicians will receive a £2,000 signing bonus

Lookers is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to enhance our exceptional workshop team. In collaboration with fellow experienced technicians, you will be instrumental in performing vehicle health assessments utilizing cutting-edge technology, executing vehicle maintenance services, and addressing any additional repairs as required.

At Lookers, you will be under the guidance of a knowledgeable aftersales manager who will provide continuous support to ensure you have the necessary resources to excel in your position. We also offer outstanding career advancement and training opportunities, including manufacturer-accredited programs and training in Hybrid & Electric vehicles, to further propel your career.

Our technicians are crucial to our Service team, consistently delivering top-notch customer service. We invite qualified Automotive Service Technicians or seasoned Mechanics, whether from a dealership or independent workshop, to connect with us.

  • Conducting comprehensive vehicle health assessments using state-of-the-art technology
  • Performing vehicle maintenance services in line with manufacturer specifications and customer preferences
  • Executing additional repairs upon customer authorization
  • Carrying out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and ensuring proper documentation
  • Taking customer vehicles for road tests to confirm all issues have been resolved
  • Completing all necessary paperwork with precision and care

The ideal candidate will possess at least an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent qualification, along with relevant experience in the automotive industry (whether brand-specific or not), and hold a full and valid UK driving license. You should be self-driven, capable of supporting your team, ambitious, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining the highest standards for all vehicles serviced.

Although prior brand experience is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite, as brand-specific training will be provided. Experience in diagnostics, MOT, and electric vehicles is also desirable but not mandatory.

**The signing bonus is distributed as £1,000 in the first month of employment and £1,000 after six months of continuous service.
