Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Residential Children's Services Senior Manager to join our team at Apple Orchard. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of our residential children's home, ensuring the well-being and safety of our young people.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and support to our young people.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure that all staff members are trained and equipped to provide high-quality care and support.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the efficient use of resources.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and partners to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young people.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience in a residential children's care setting, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing the Quality Care Standards for Children's Homes.
  • Experience of carrying out administrative duties such as filing, recording, and report writing.
  • Professional qualification at Level 5 or above in a relevant field.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding and/or Recruitment Training.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including sleep-in shifts and overtime as required.
