Production Planner Job Description

Peco, a leading manufacturer of model railway products, is seeking a skilled Production Planner to join our team. As a Production Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production process, from planning and scheduling to data analysis and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and schedule production to meet deadlines and optimize resource utilization.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production teams, Epicor developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Develop and maintain accurate production metrics and reports to inform business decisions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in production planning and scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and a commitment to continuous improvement.
