About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Practice Development Team as a Practice Development Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Adults Care and Wellbeing Services to develop and implement best practice approaches in Occupational Therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver key elements of our Sheffield Workforce Development Strategy, with a focus on Occupational Therapy practice and workforce planning.
  • Provide practice development support to services across Adults Care and Wellbeing, ensuring high-quality standards and best outcomes for our residents.
  • Identify practice trends, using research and evidence to inform priorities and design initiatives to improve practice.
  • Manage the development and implementation of policy and practice guidance, ensuring compliance and quality assurance.
  • Line manage staff within the Practice Development team and manage other team members as required.
  • Support the Principal Occupational Therapist with local, regional, and national workstreams.
  • Represent Sheffield City Council Occupational Therapy locally, regionally, and nationally.
