Accounts Administrator Job Description

Office Angels is seeking a skilled Part-Time Accounts Administrator to join their team in West Hull, HU4. As a key member of the professional services business, you will be responsible for maintaining the sales ledger, purchase ledger, petty cash, and bank reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the sales ledger, including opening post, entering customer cheques, and filing remittance advices.
  • Handle all accounts telephone queries and ensure adherence to 30-day payment terms.
  • Enter all bank entries into the accounting system using the correct nominal code.
  • Manage the purchase ledger by posting supplier invoices, reconciling supplier accounts, and requesting copy invoices as needed.
  • Match supplier invoices and credit notes with delivery notes and obtain sign-off from the Operations Manager.
  • Control and balance petty cash, maintaining accurate records in both the petty cash book and the accounting system.
  • Safeguard the security of petty cash and manage bank statements.
