Job Title: Part-Time Accounts Administrator

Location: Remote Opportunity

Remuneration: £15,500 per annum

Contract Details: Permanent, Part-Time 24 hours

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Part-Time Accounts Administrator to join our team at Office Angels. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining the sales ledger, purchase ledger, petty cash, and bank reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales ledger, including opening post, entering customer cheques into the ledger, and filing remittance advices in date order.
  • Handle all accounts telephone queries and ensure adherence to 30-day payment terms.
  • Enter all bank entries into the accounting system using the correct nominal code.
  • Manage the purchase ledger by posting supplier invoices to the correct accounts, reconciling supplier accounts, and requesting copy invoices as needed.
  • Match supplier invoices and credit notes with delivery notes and obtain sign-off from the Operations Manager.
  • Control and balance petty cash, maintaining accurate records in both the petty cash book and the accounting system.
  • Safeguard the security of petty cash and manage bank statements.
  • Perform ongoing backups of the accounting system and assist with filing and maintaining in-cup room files.
  • Answer phone queries related to the accounts department and provide coverage during lunch breaks.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Sage) and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently.
