Smart Education Recruitment is seeking an English Language Educator to work in Birmingham.

About the Role:

As an English Language Educator, you will teach English to students aged 11 to 17 in a small, supportive setting. You will personalise learning to meet individual student needs, build professional, nurturing, and positive relationships with students, and inspire students to create engaging learning opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Teach English to students aged 11 to 17
  2. Personalise learning to meet individual student needs
  3. Build professional, nurturing, and positive relationships with students
  4. Inspire students to create engaging learning opportunities
  5. Manage complex and challenging behaviours with attention, appropriate communication, consistency, and flexibility
  6. Participate in decision-making processes and contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular activities
  7. Occasionally cover at other Birmingham schools

Requirements:

Qualifications: Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience: Previous experience teaching English at Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key Stage 3, and GCSE levels
