The Stratford-on-Avon District Council is seeking a highly skilled Green Spaces Officer to join its Environmental and Operational Services Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery and implementation of high-quality public open spaces across the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with developers, contractors, and planning officers to ensure the delivery of high-quality public open spaces that meet agreed standards.
- Assist in securing compliance with legal obligations and planning conditions related to public open space provision.
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders and guide applicants in creating detailed public open spaces and green infrastructure in planning layouts.
- Lead the preparation, monitoring, and review of public open space policies and strategies.
Requirements:
- Passion for and expertise in landscaping, planning, or environmental management.
- Strong knowledge of horticultural principles and practices.
- Driven, with a positive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
- Strong people skills, with the ability to build excellent relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders and contractors.
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage with audiences at all levels.
