Spare Parts Procurement Manager - Barnsley
Salary - £30-35K Per Annum (Dependent on Experience)
Monday to Friday (Full Time - Day Shifts, Hours Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities of a Spare Parts Procurement Manager:
- Supplier Sourcing & Management: Identify and procure a wide array of components, from economical items to high-value parts, ensuring timely and cost-efficient procurement. Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and managing contracts effectively.
- Inventory Oversight: Supervise the company's inventory for precise traceability and stock management. Distribute parts and kits to engineers and external clients, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
- System Enhancement: Lead the design and execution of an upgraded parts management system to replace traditional methodologies, boosting efficiency and accuracy throughout the organization.
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with the Service team to guarantee the accurate provision of parts for customer service, breakdowns, and workshop assembly. Update and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for machinery and sub-assemblies.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients to comprehend their requirements, provide tailored solutions, and occasionally visit their sites to strengthen relationships and uncover growth opportunities.
Essential Skills & Qualifications of a Spare Parts Procurement Manager:
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Sage or similar accounting software and strong proficiency in Office applications, especially Excel.
- Purchasing & Sales Expertise: Demonstrated experience in procurement and sales, with a strong interest in developing and expanding client relationships.
- Inventory Management Skills: Background in parts inventory management with experience in leading the development of new management systems.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to manage supplier relationships, negotiate effectively, and collaborate with internal teams.
- Industry Background: Experience in the industrial hydraulics or pneumatics sector is highly desirable.
- Proactive Management: This role requires a hands-on manager with the capability to grasp the technical aspects of machinery, supported by training provided by the Company.
