Job Title: Category Specialist

Cedar is supporting a Procurement Consultancy in their search for a Category Specialist to cover Construction and Facilities Management (FM). This is a permanent opportunity with a home-based agreement and potential travel for team and client meetings.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will support key clients in the UK Public Sector marketplace, focusing on end-to-end procurements within the Construction and FM category. They will ensure compliance with Public Sector Procurement Regulations (PCR2015) and prioritize Value for Money (VfM). Additionally, they will support the training and development of junior procurement resources within the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support end-to-end procurements within the Construction and FM category
  • Ensure compliance with Public Sector Procurement Regulations (PCR2015)
  • Prioritize Value for Money (VfM)
  • Support the training and development of junior procurement resources
Requirements:
  • MCIPS qualified or working towards MCIPS status
  • Experience in Public Sector Procurement
  • Experience running complex procurement programs in Construction and/or FM
  • Excellent stakeholder, team management, and organizational skills
