Finance Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst to join our team at Wincanton. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain accurate and realistic budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against budget and providing regular updates to senior management.
- Prepare and interpret financial reports, including monthly P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, conducting variance analysis and identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and internal control frameworks, identifying and mitigating potential financial risks.
- Provide commercial acumen and support decision-making across the business, leveraging your knowledge of financial systems and processes.
- Collaborate with the operations team to identify risks and opportunities, driving process improvement and innovation.
- A fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or part-qualified with experience in a related finance role.
- Excellent customer relationship skills, with the ability to develop good working relationships at all levels.
- Proven mathematical and modelling skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Drive, energy, and a commitment to creating best practice in the financial spectrum.
- Proactive, inquisitive, and passionate about challenging teams to drive performance.
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
