Job Title: Finance Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst to join our team at Wincanton. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of our supply chain management services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate and realistic budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against budget and providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Prepare and interpret financial reports, including monthly P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, conducting variance analysis and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and internal control frameworks, identifying and mitigating potential financial risks.
  • Provide commercial acumen and support decision-making across the business, leveraging your knowledge of the customer contract to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing financial processes and systems, identifying and implementing new technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • A fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or part-qualified with experience in a related finance role.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills, with the ability to develop good working relationships at all levels.
  • Proven mathematical and modelling skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Drive, energy, and a commitment to creating best practice in the financial spectrum.
  • Proactive, inquisitive, and passionate about challenging teams to drive performance.
  • Able to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • BPSS Security Clearance and CIBT Heal (or ability to obtain).
