About the Role

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Lymphoedema Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our Therapy Services department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with cancer-related lymphoedema.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled care and expertise in lymphoedema management for patients referred to the lymphoedema service, utilizing clinical judgment to develop patient-focused care plans.
  • Collaborate with the Lymphoedema Therapist and Advanced Lymphoedema Practitioner to ensure a high-quality lymphoedema service is provided throughout the hospital.
  • Implement relevant assessment strategies and provide skilled care for patients with complex lymphoedema, utilizing reflective practice and clinical reasoning to evaluate and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Liaise with medical colleagues and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients with lymphoedema.
  • Educate patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals on all aspects of lymphoedema management, promoting a positive and realistic attitude towards patient care.
Requirements
  • First-level registration or professional qualification in a relevant field.
  • Post-registration oncology experience, with evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Relevant diploma-level study or willingness to study at this level.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software applications.
