Job Summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lymphoedema Practitioner to join our Therapy Services team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist advice and care to patients with cancer-related lymphoedema, ensuring a high-quality service that meets the needs of our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled care and expertise in lymphoedema management for patients referred to the service, demonstrating competent clinical judgment in deciding patient-focused long-range goals or plans.
  • Work closely with the Lymphoedema Therapist and Advanced Lymphoedema Practitioner to provide and sustain a high-quality lymphoedema service throughout the hospital.
  • Implement relevant assessment strategies and provide skilled care for patients with complex lymphoedema, using reflective practice and clinical reasoning to evaluate the programme of care and review where necessary.
  • Educate patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals on all aspects of lymphoedema management.
  • Demonstrate a positive and realistic attitude to the patient with cancer-related lymphoedema, ensuring that the physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural needs of the patient and family are met.
