This role is essential for steering and overseeing intricate projects that provide value to the public sector, with a strong focus on implementing NEC contracts while adhering to industry standards and best practices. You will engage with leading clients and take the helm of significant projects and immediate commissions. - Proficient management of NEC contracts, including conducting thorough research, data gathering, and benchmarking.
- Overseeing residential or mixed-use developments, concentrating on the enabling phase under NEC contractual guidelines (covering highways, utilities, enabling works, remediation, public realm, bridges, utility diversions or upgrades, and managing S106 or S278 obligations).
- Formulating and executing efficient NEC contract processes and systems throughout the project lifecycle.
- Tracking and documenting project advancement and performance metrics specific to NEC contracts.
- Monitoring and recording changes in accordance with NEC contract stipulations.
- Creating written project communication materials and formal reports with an emphasis on NEC contract management.
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and designers within the NEC contract framework.
- Participating in meetings and preparing minutes, focusing on discussions and decisions related to NEC contracts.
- At least 5 years of experience with a specialization in NEC contracts.
- Relevant qualification in construction, real estate, planning, or engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of NEC contract administration.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Outstanding communication skills (verbal, presentation, written).
- Self-driven with strong strategic problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience collaborating with various stakeholders within the NEC contract framework.
- Familiarity with CDM/site health and safety as it relates to NEC contracts.
- Preferred qualifications include an engineering background (ideally civil, structural, mechanical/electrical) and a comprehensive understanding of the development lifecycle under NEC contracts.
