Job Title: BSL Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a qualified BSL Teaching Assistant to join our team in a London school. The successful candidate will support pupils with hearing impairment and have a Level 1 BSL qualification or above.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support provisions for pupils with hearing impairment
  • Hold a Level 1 BSL qualification or above
  • Practical experience of using, teaching, or supporting BSL
  • Assist and support the classroom teacher with the day-to-day running of a class
Requirements:
  • British Sign Language (BSL) qualification
  • Experience working with children/young people with Special Educational Needs
  • Ability to relay B.S.L. from hearing impaired students to non-signing students
  • Dedicated, engaging, and inspiring
  • Committed to ensuring pupils make good, sustained progress
