Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personalized support to a gentleman in his late 60's living independently in the Penrith area.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the client with daily living tasks, including household chores, personal care, shopping, and regular outings in the local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized support to the client, promoting independence and dignity
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including household chores and personal care
  • Accompany the client on regular outings in the local community
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the client, their family, and other stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with the client's care team to ensure seamless support

Requirements

  • Full, clean UK driving licence (experience of driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle is desirable)
  • Experience of working with adults with physical and cognitive impairments (essential)
  • Dependable and professional, with a strong sense of discretion
  • Ability to motivate and engage with the client, promoting their independence and well-being
  • Previous experience working with clients with brain injuries is desirable
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure
