Energy Manager - Carbon Reduction

£55,000 - £65,000 + leading benefits

Are you equipped with the technical knowledge to spearhead an energy, carbon, and water reduction initiative for a diverse and esteemed operational estate?


This is a unique opportunity to become the Energy lead within a sustainability team, where your contributions will be pivotal in achieving a commitment to zero-carbon status.


As the Energy Manager, you will possess a strong technical background and experience necessary to identify and execute projects that align with ambitious environmental sustainability objectives.


A degree in an engineering or environmental field is essential, along with comprehensive technical expertise in energy and carbon management and reduction, ideally within a building, project management, or maintenance context.

You will actively seek out a range of projects to incorporate into a structured maintenance plan for the entire estate.

In your role as Energy Manager, you will also initiate new projects aimed at enhancing on-site renewable energy production and reducing water consumption.


This extensive estate offers significant potential for project success across a varied portfolio, including academic buildings, commercial research facilities, educational institutions, historical landmarks, and agricultural operations.

You will play a crucial role in the estates team, working towards a long-term vision that emphasizes exceptional environmental performance.


As the Energy Manager, you will be an effective communicator with a proven track record in stakeholder engagement, capable of collaborating with consultants and contractors.

Highly numerate with advanced project management skills, including feasibility studies, budgeting, and project execution.

Proficiency in energy management strategies, technologies, policies, and relevant regulations is vital. This position is office-based within the estate operations team.
